Template gallery

Twelve original layouts. Each one states plainly how it behaves in an applicant tracking system, so you can pick deliberately rather than hopefully.

Clinical Classic

A medical CV layout with ruled headings and left-gutter dates for rotations and posts.

How it works

Four steps, and none of them involve fighting a text box.

  1. 1

    Start from your profession

Pick one of 30 roles and the editor opens with the section order, skill groupings and headings that suit it. A clinical CV starts with registration and rotations; a developer CV starts with a technical skills block. You can also start from a blank document.

  2. 2

Write with the structure already right

Each section is a form rather than a text box, so dates, employers and bullet points end up in fields the export can lay out properly. Reorder sections by dragging, rename them, or switch them off entirely.

  3. 3

Choose a layout, then change your mind

Templates only control presentation. Switching from a two-column design to a strict ATS layout rearranges the page and never touches a word of your content.

  4. 4

Export a PDF that can be read

The download is real text, not a picture of a page. It can be searched, copied and parsed by an applicant tracking system, and it is laid out at true A4 dimensions.

ATS Optimised

An ATS-friendly option that is actually ATS-friendly

Most CV builders describe every template as ATS-friendly. That is not a useful claim, because a two-column layout with icons and skill bars is not. Every template here carries one of three honest ratings, and the Minimal ATS layout is built to a specific standard:

  • A single column, so a parser never reads two separate pieces of text as one line
  • Conventional section headings that keyword filters recognise
  • No skill bars, rating dots, icons or text boxes carrying meaning
  • Nothing important in a header or footer, where parsers commonly drop content
  • Selectable, searchable text in the exported PDF rather than an image of a page

Why structured CV data matters

The reason changing template here does not break anything.

One CV, several layouts

Because your content is stored as structured fields rather than as a formatted document, the same CV can be rendered as a plain ATS layout for a job portal and a designed two-column layout for a direct application, without maintaining two files.

Nothing gets lost when you change template

A section that a template does not emphasise is still stored. Switch back and it reappears exactly as you wrote it. This is the single most common way people lose work in a word processor.

Exports that machines can read

Dates, employers and job titles are separate fields, so the exported PDF puts them where a parser expects to find them instead of relying on tab stops and spacing.

Versions rather than filenames

Saved CVs keep a version history, which is a better answer to "which copy did I send them" than a folder of files ending in -final-v3.

Common questions

Is it free to use?
You can browse every example, use the editor and download a PDF without paying. An account is only needed to save a CV and come back to it later.
Do I need an account to try it?
No. The editor works signed out and keeps a draft in your own browser, so you can build a CV and download it. Creating an account is what lets you save it, keep several versions and open it from another device.
Will the PDF work with applicant tracking systems?
The export is text-based rather than an image, which is the first requirement. Beyond that it depends on the layout you pick: templates marked ATS Optimised are single column with conventional headings and no decorative elements. Every template shows its rating on the gallery.
Can I change template without redoing my CV?
Yes. Your content and section order are stored separately from the layout, so switching template restyles the page and leaves the writing untouched.
Is this an official Europass service?
No. This is an independent CV builder and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Europass or the European Commission. One of the templates follows the structured European CV convention, but documents produced here are not official Europass documents.
What happens to my personal data?
CVs are private by default and are never published. If you have an account, your CV is stored against your user id with database-level access rules that prevent other accounts from reading it. Nothing is shared with third parties. The privacy page sets this out in full.
